Nursing Program Learning Criteria (PÖÖ)
PÖÖ1:
Fulfills the duties and responsibilities of the nursing profession within the framework of social justice, human rights and ethical values; takes the lead in protecting, developing and maintaining the health of the individual and society.
PÖÖ2:
Provides effective care in protecting the health of individuals, families and communities, preventing diseases and treating them by using scientific and evidence-based nursing knowledge.
PÖÖ3:
Critically analyzes the biopsychosocial factors that affect the physical, psychological and social health of individuals and plans, implements and evaluates nursing interventions targeting these factors.
PÖÖ4:
Increases patient safety and improves the quality of care by effectively using current technology and information systems in nursing practices.
PÖÖ5:
Uses theoretical knowledge with a critical approach in both interpersonal relationships and interactions between individual and community health systems; contributes to the provision of health services with a holistic approach.
PÖÖ6:
Makes decisions in line with ethical principles and professional values in nursing services, produces solutions to ethical dilemmas and exhibits professional behavior.
PÖÖ7:
Develops and implements strategies to improve individual and community health by working in collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
PÖÖ8:
Undertakes health education, health consultancy and advocacy roles; supports the active participation of individuals, families and the community in health-related decision-making processes.
PÖÖ9:
Using leadership and management skills in nursing, manages health care teams effectively; increases service quality by using resources efficiently.
PÖÖ10:
Follows national and international developments in the field of health services, is sensitive to global health issues and contributes to projects aimed at improving public health.
PÖÖ11:
Continuously updates and develops nursing knowledge and skills by adopting the understanding of continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
PÖÖ12:
Has knowledge of public health, epidemiology and health policies and puts this knowledge into practice to improve public health.
