Nursing Department Program Educational Objectives

As the Nursing Department, the aim of our educational program is to provide students with professional knowledge and skills, to train nurses who are effective, ethical, scientifically based and prioritize public health in the field of health services. Our program offers a comprehensive education aimed at protecting, developing, treating and rehabilitating the health of individuals, families and the community.

Our Program Educational Objectives:
1. Development of Professional Knowledge and Skills: To provide students with the basic medical knowledge required for the nursing profession, and to provide them with the ability to use this information both in clinical practice and patient care. To create a solid theoretical infrastructure with basic courses such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and nursing practice.

2. Clinical Practice and Practical Experience: To provide students with clinical internships and practices in order to gain experience in hospitals, clinics and other health institutions. To develop the skills to cope with real-world health problems and to make fast and accurate decisions in emergency situations.

3. Ethical Values ​​and Professional Responsibility: To inform students about ethical issues they will encounter in their professional lives, to respect human rights, to be attentive to patient privacy and to make ethical decisions.

4. Research and Scientific Thinking: To provide students with the ability to conduct research, to teach them to make data-based decisions using scientific methods. To ensure that students use nursing science and evidence-based practices in their professional lives.

5. Communication and Teamwork: To train nurses who can communicate effectively in health services, are prone to interdisciplinary teamwork, and can establish professional relationships with patients, their relatives and the healthcare team.

6. Developing Community Health: To train nurses who are sensitive to community health problems, who can lead projects aimed at public health, and who will raise awareness in the community about protecting and developing health. To ensure that they take part in projects aimed at improving the health of both individuals and the community.

7. Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: To provide critical thinking skills in the face of complex problems that may be encountered in nursing practices, and to train professionals who are competent enough to produce creative and practical solutions to these problems.

8. Lifelong Learning: To provide students with a lifelong learning awareness so that they can develop their professional knowledge and skills after graduation and keep up with changing health conditions through continuous education. To train individuals who continuously improve their professional skills by following current developments in the field of nursing.

9. Leadership and Management Skills: To train nurses who are competent enough to lead in the health system and the field of nursing, who can play an active role in decision-making processes, and who have the ability to manage and develop health services.
